NEW YORK CITY 2007 FIRST Robotics Competition Jacob Javitz Convention Center 655 West 34th Street New York, NY 10001 http://www.javitscenter.com DIRECTIONS BY SUBWAY Take the A train to 34th. St. station. Walk on 34th. St. West towards the river until you get to 11th. Ave. BY BUS Take either crosstown bus - the M34 (34th. St. Bus) or the M42 (42nd. St. Bus) Westbound to the Jacob Javitz Convention Center. Traveling to NYC By Car From New Jersey: Take the Lincoln Tunnel to NYC. From the Bronx: Take any of the crossings to the West Side Highway. From Long Island: Take the any of the East River crossings into NYC. Go westbound until you get to the West Side Highway. Take it to 34th. St. There is no parking at the Javits Center itself. Cars can drop off in front of the Center and then proceed to one of the many parking garages throughout the Javits Center vicinity. Please refer to the Parking section below for locations and phone numbers of convenient parking near the Javits Center. The Javits Center is located on 11th Avenue between 34th and 39th Streets. Please note that the drop off area will be very busy and is constantly patrolled by NYC Police. Do not leave your vehicle unattended in front of the Javits Center - it will be towed faster than you can say "FIRST Robotics Competition." Getting your car back will be very expensive! Parking Lots and Garages Below is a a variety of parking lots close to the Javits Center, ranging from 24-hour, 7-day a week covered lots, to more limited service. So, if you have any questions make sure to call ahead. Parking in New York City is never cheap, even on weekends, and parking lots often close early in the evening so be sure to check when leaving your vehicle.
